The children were developing the skills of teamwork. They were encouraging each other to try hard and not worry if they dropped the ball or missed the goal. They were also trying to be sporting while also trying to be competitive.
The children continue to bring in fantastic reading activities. Silvia made a small moving pictures book and designed another beautiful and informative poster. Hugo invented his own alien like the ones he read about in 'The Unexplained'. Manuela wrote a summary and made a lovely picture about the book 'Stuck in the Mud'. Maria did one about The Stolen Crown part 1 and she is looking forward to finding out what happens in part 2. Oliver is really trying to improve his writing and wrote a full side of A4. Antela made a 3D picture about her book 'The Village in the Snow' and Manuel wrote about his book 'Mirror Island'.
There have been lots more super activities given in today. I have also added picture of the general display; the outside of our classroom is becoming a place of creativity. Thanks Year 2.
Today the children went outside to look for different plants, find out what they were called and where they could be found. After this they filled out a table with the information. When they returned to class they classified other living things and their habitats.
First the children learnt how to get out and put away equipment safely. Then they started to try different balances which they then put into a sequence with a forward roll, a jump or another balance. They also learnt to start and end with elegance and move smoothly between different movements in the sequence.
